Toots, my faithful and loving cairn terrier is a resilient and adventurous dog. As a puppy, her playfulness entertained me and brought a smile to my face. Her loyalty and determination are evident in her every move. Her tales are evident in the playful illustrations that bring her to life and make comic storytelling.
Her story tells how she chases frogs, faces down an armadillo, bounces like a ball, digs in the garden, makes friends with other dogs or just simply stares at the moon from the sailboat. Even though she was meant to be a digger of dirt, she learned to make each day an adventure from her point of view.
Because she is so playful, her point of view eventually becomes contagious and I find myself acting like Toots and I suspect that is how owners and their dogs tend to have similar traits and behaviors.
