David Fanshawe, walking alone from Egypt to Uganda, recorded the music of fifty tribes and achieved a close rapport with the local people that they allowed him to be present at their most sacred ceremonies, and even on occasions, danced and sang for him.. Davids original recordings have been integrated with a Latin Mass to provide an unorthodox music setting  African Sanctus.

Since then he has travelled the Pacific and archived original chants which are being incorprated into another mastepiece or music.
